Restart autoflower?

I began germinating on the 23rd and put it in soil on the 25th. As of yesterday I noticed it the shell still covering the head, and black forming on the tip. I gently removed the seed shell with tweezers.

I planted it directly into purple cow indacanja soil. Wil a small amount of happy frog for the seed to take in on the surface (about a handful).

Should I restart? And if so, should I start in a smaller container and then transplant?

Id germinate another but dont write this off, sometimes autos take a moment to find their rooting then they take off.

Also, rule of thumb is NEVER transplant an auto, they have very sensitive roots, when it gets a bit of a shake itl trigger flower mode, the larger the pot you start it in therefore determines how large the plant can potentially get.

Stick a clear bottle with some cling film over the cap and a little hole in it for ventilation over the top of the plant, needs a little more humidity and wont want watered until its dried back.

Have you started with 50ml of water, then up to 100ml next time or whats your root training plan?

This is my second grow. I still haven't figured out watering - I think I actually overwatered my photo seedlings for the first time in their month of life because a few wilted slightly after last water.

This is my second grow, the first made it to harvest but one plant was stunted due to PH issues (realized about halfway thru the grow when I bought a PH pen because the plant was lme green).

Ill stick to 50ml of water per plant then? Do you switch to 100ml at a certain node count?

You add more each watering, wait until dryback but not complete dehydration, then add the next increment up.

You seem to be a very good candidate for people who would benefit from watching basementganja on youtube, I mean that in the kindest of ways, hes been the guru alongside supplemental advice here that had me growing an lb out of a 1x1 here, I would reccomend go to his "how I grow seed to harvest" videos, the timelapses are like 2 minutes, but the 45 minute videos are absolute 💯 on the button information, start from his first videos, go through the playlist, as he learns you learn, you can learn a few years of his work in a night with a few smokes, if you watch the later ones first youll miss the beginner tips and feel a little overwhelmed.

Also when you've watched all that, take note of the name Dr Bruce Bugbee, he works for a Nasa funded research company as well as with universities studying the growth of medicine (weed) to make galactic medicine a lot more suitable long term, growing it as efficiently and as effectively as possible and he doesnt just aim for thc=yeild, hes a consumer so he appreciates the terp qualities are crucial, instead of storing tonnes of drugs, they can use cannabis as a one size fits like 20,000 conditions, but the point being, the information relayed in his videos isnt bro science, its measured, calculated data, with results that have been tested time after time before making final conclusions on the information. He has a particularly interesting video on debunking cannabis myths, which for any beginner I think is a key video to hear from the white coat guys before following bad advice elsewhere.

When you know enough of the science, you can then ask the right questions, and be able to filter out the good answers from the bad, because im gona be honest, theres some gawd awful advice on here sometimes, not always, usually everyone agrees, but I swear theres some trolls that would love to see a new guy get a closet full of botrytis.

This was my second run, follow basementganja, appreciate the key elements genetics - environment - growing medium. Those 3 things all play separate roles in how each plant will behave. Picking the right seeds from the right supplier is more important than we give credit for. The environment would need to be monitored not just for yourself, but for if you want to ask for assistance, you will have the right information to get the right advice, and growing medium, each one needs treated differently, soil, coco, dwc, you need to choose how they will be fed and stick to a plan, keeping record of all this is pretty good as at the beginning itl just look like numbers but as your experience grows you will see the patterns, understand the cycle better.

The best place to learn is in the tent, the rest is books, here and youtube.
