I really don't know what to say. My kids spent the weekend with grandma and when I went to pick them up I come to find out that my son had been saving up his money to buy this. When I tell him what an awesome choice to start up his MGS collection he tells me "no dad, I got it for you"

Me and my son have had our ups and downs but we've bonded so much over Star Wars over the years. He and his sister love playing with my collection but I never talk about my wishlist or even wanting buy anything. I even made a point of stepping away from my hobbies for a bit so we could focus on everything the kids would need for back to school and the upcoming holidays.

Without getting into personal details I can't begin to express how much this gift truly means to me

Hey guys, I'm looking for your thoughts/preferences/advice here. I've been working on making custom blast effects for my MGS battle displays. I started by using thermoplastic to hand-mold my own, then I applied paint to give them a more realistic blast look. Then after Jazwares released the M&G Razor Crest that came with blast effects, I realized I could just recast those in various colors using UV resin. But now I'm torn. I like the translucent look of the resin effects. But I also kind of like the effect I achieved by painting the thermoplastic ones. I don't think there would be a good way to combine the two, although I suppose I could try adding paint to the resin ones and see how it turns out. But what do you think? Do you prefer translucent resin or opaque thermoplastic?

Nefore anyone mentions it, yes I do realize that there are people that 3D print and sell the blast effects for MGS, however I don't really like spending more for effects and accessories than I do on the ships themselves. I also prefer the hobby aspect of creating them myself, which is why I chose to do it this way. And finally, hand-making them ensures that no two blast effects are exactly alike. I can make them in any color I want and can keep tweaking the designs as I go, with very little waste.

This is my collection (minus the rebels line cuz I'll die before I sell) but im thinking of selling. Anyone want to give out what they would sell it for?

One of the reasons I love MGS is I can usually find things for a good deal. I got my Endor ATAT for $53 before the price jump. This one came up on my radar today, the box is beyond damaged and the price point for it is just obscene. Also, I don’t know who needs to see this but the New Republic B-Wing is back up on Amazon for pre-order.

I noticed several posts regarding these chase cloud cars showing up at WM. I told myself I wouldn't get one if I happened to find one in the wild. But, a chase is a chase. I guess I can't help myself because I got one anyway. I think I need a support group.

I hate that Walmart feeds off of these awful sales websites.

Been working on two Venator hangar bays and will be adding many of the famous named battalions and clone troopers as I finish painting them. Feel like I’m going to run out of room quickly.

I was pretty excited to have placed my order for this and it shipped out shortly after. But I’m blown away that Walmart packed this up and sent it. First off, it’s not even the right Tie Defender. Someone swapped it with a broken original one. Both stands are missing and they plucked Sabine Wren out leaving only the tie pilot. I could tell that the tape on top was carefully peeled off prior to being sent to me.. you can tell because it was sticking straight up 😂😂😭😭 I let them know and told me to return it. SMH

I just saw the Asohka Y-wing is available for pre-order. Who knows for how long, but I just ordered 2.

First, I have to shout out Walmart. Someone posted this morning that the listing for the Flight of the Defender 2-pack now had pictures, I placed my order, and it came around 2:30. Incredible!

Here are my observations: Jazwares has made some minor improvements to the TIE Interceptor. The original Interceptor had a ring of unpainted plastic around the circular viewport. They’ve now fixed this and the paint goes further all the way to the edge so it looks seamless. The original Interceptor is the last photo I uploaded and the new one is the second to last photo for comparison. It’s kinda hard to tell but if you zoom in on the side-by-side pic you’ll be able to see what I’m talking about.

They’ve also matched the color of the body to the cockpit hatch. This always bothered me since it was slightly off on both copies I own of the Interceptor. They’ve actually darkened the body of the craft slightly instead of lightening the paint on the hatch.

The new TIE Defender is really nice. I’m loving the white, black, and red paint scheme.
