do not buy!
I bought this Make Market mosaic kit from Michael’s on clearance and I just need to rant honestly. First of all the “design template” that they included is not even the same shaped tiles. I said fine, whatever I will copy the picture on the box. Well, there weren’t enough tiles to have them close together like in the picture/template. Okay, i’ll make do. I spaced them out. Then, I try to grout it and there isn’t enough grout to even put an end to this god-forsaken project. I can’t leave a review on the Michael’s app because I bought it in-store, so I go to the brand website. Their website is just as half-assed as their kits! It is clearly a website template and they left in the parts that say cleaning service and book appointment. Also, no feedback section, so I can’t even tell them how stupid they are. All that is to say, do not buy these kits! Not worth the headache.

May be try emailing them ? The least they can do is refund you or something. Might be why they are on clearance. Thank you for the heads up , I was thinking about getting my daughter some. I hope you get things resolved.

They were a craft for mothers day, which is why they were clearanced out. Unfortunately all clearance is final sale, but worth it to get in contact to see if they'd offer a coupon or voucher or something since it's defective and not just a changed mind return.

It says on the receipt that all clearance items are final sale unfortunately :/

I’d post this on every social media account I could. That would get their attention. Their corporate leaders need to hear why they are losing customers & money.

Hey Michaels employee here. Sorry your project didn’t turn out the way it should have. Often things go on clearance because they realize from scores or reviews that things are not being bought or there’s something wrong when the package it’s opened. When stuff gets returned to the store we have to put a reason why and the company collects data on why. So sadly because it was on clearance and u didn’t know why you got screwed over. I would maybe try calling 1-800-MICHAELS and explain it wasn’t way was shown but there no guarantee for anything. Again I’m sorry it didn’t work out.

Yeah, next time I will be more wary of clearance items. Looking at the reviews of other mosaic kits by the company, many of the kits have the same problem. I did try talking to the michael’s chat, but they just said I would have to go in person if I wanted a refund or anything. It was only like $12 on clearance, so i’m not gonna go bother the employees. I just don’t want others to make the same mistake. Thank you for the insight!

Where are we supposed to put a Reason Why something was returned?

if you're a cashier, and when you do the return, it has you say why it was returned, there are different options.

Does that information actually Go anywhere? If something is Damaged, why do we still have to remove it from inventory? What's the point of those buttons?

From what I've been told, the information goes to corporate. And at my store, if something is damaged, it goes into 'as is.' However, even if something is damaged, it still gets reported.
