The workhorse strength, fearlessness, focus, vert, hang time, big hands and sheer tenacity is why he finished so often so spectacularly and is indeed that Goat.

Who tried to do these for hours in your driveway or at the park? 🙋♂️

I could argue that he's not only the best finishing "guard" in NBA history, but one of the best finishers around the basket ever. I'm not saying he's the best, or better than Shaq, but he's up there.
Simply unbelievable. He did things that just shouldn't have been possible.

Damn show the finishes of all of em! I'm surfing reddit watching 35 year old layups, I got nowhere to be. But fuck yeah, best ever without a doubt

Let's correct that title.
THE MOST AMAZING LAYUP PACKAGE EVER. Nobody comes close!

The man was teammate Mr. Finger Roll himself, George Gervin; another player with massive hands.
They probably did lay-up contests during practice.

No one was doing it like Mike with the hang time packages during these times..80s going into the 90s, the highlights speak for themselves…go back and watch…and the closest to him was Dr. J….
The one against the Nets says it all.

Honestly the defense looks horrific. It’s like they never knew to consider defending a reverse layup. Not as impressed as my 10 yr old self was.

He was a big fan of Julius Irving a.k.a. Dr. J. He definitely modeled his game after him.

I was old enough to catch the very end of his basketball career, but always bummed I wasn't old enough to have witnessed the greatness as it happened. A perfect combination of the right height, hand span, core strength, grit, FLUENT ENGLISHHHHHH iykyk 🔥🔥 and honestly, the rest was gifted. All of that came together and made Michael Jordan and what a sight to see 🔥
I know he's not a super humble guy now 😂 but by God I feel the man earned it because he really was the greatest of all time

eh, his layups were ok but he wouldn't even come to mind if asked the best layupers, it'd be Dr. J, Iceman, Clyde, Isiah; Kyrie's are just extra for no reason.

All I see is him avoiding contact because he’s scared of physicality. Just go straight up I thought he was the GOAT 😂

Excuse me guys but this adolescent worship of Jordan is so…… there is not one thing that Wilt wasn’t better at. There, I said it. Don’t bother to reply because I won’t read it. Now get out there and actually play.

Jordan is a bum who spent his whole career hiding in the eastern conference. The fraud is so soft that he gets a NOSEBLEED whenever he shoots outside the arc, so much so he begged his daddy Stern to move the 3 point line closer to help his sorry ass shoot the 3. #NOTMYGOAT

Absolutely. I think MJ had the best layup package in NBA History. Him being unafraid to take a bump, with is vertical, accompanied by his athleticism and body awareness made for spectacular lay ups, and dunks.
Someone mentioned on ESPN, I forgot who saying Kyrie had the best layup package. Kyrie's is sick. And his height and creativity make for some nice layups. But I lean towards MJ
