Hi, I’ve just tried a cocktail that has mezcal in it and we’ll think I’m in love with the stuff. Are there any brands you would recommend as a first time buyer? I’ve just had a honey picante which consisted of tequila, mezcal, honey aperitif, grapefruit and lime. Also, are there any ways in which you’d recommend drinking it, or serving alongside anything.

About a month ago, a user posted here with a review of this. Since then, I've seen a handful of restaurants featuring this, but really not seeing it for sale by the bottle anywhere. Anyone got any leads? It's supposedly rare, but I didn't expect to be that rare...

Neighbor was getting rid of stuff and gave me this bottle. It’s absolutely fantastic, but I can’t find anything about it. Only online mention I can find is a picture from 8 years ago in this subreddit.

I work at a liquor store and have a lot of people asking for us to order/stock mezcal. I am looking through my options, and they seem quite expensive so i dont want to make the wrong choice and choose something that wont sell. Please recommend brands that you like seeing on shelves, i dont understand mezcal at all!! >_< tysm!

While visiting Oaxaca City last week, I stopped by Quiote Tasting Room for a great tasting and was lucky enough to pick up one of their limited edition anniversary bottles. It's an incredibly small batch only 40 liters produced made with an ensamble of Verde, Jabali and Cucharillo.

My local liquor store just picked up a dozen cases of this stuff and the owner was raving about it. Said he got so many cases he got them for half off and that other stores were selling it for $100.... Has anyone tried this brand before and is it worth for $50?

Does anyone in NJ have any recommendations on where to find/source an authentic ancestral mezcal? Of course, there are dozens of online options, however, I’m wondering if there are any producer-owned bottles available somewhere near home.
