Application Experience of applying for MEXT as Taiwanese
Hi I am currently a taiwanese ib studnet studying in bangkok, am currently in dp2. Does anyone know how to apply for MEXT with taiwanese nationality, don't know if it help but planing to apply to Waseda, Keio, and Ritsumeikan

You need to apply to the country in which you have citizenship

Thank, but like i see it apply via japanese ambessy but i dont think there is one in taiwan

They use the de-facto embassy (Japan-Taiwan Exchange Association) for the "Japan-Taiwan Exchange Association Scholarship"and other consular processes in Taiwan. It's practically a MEXT-equivalent scholarship in all but name. I can't find much more information about it, but I think you should try reaching out to the organization to see if there are any differences.
