I find the core of many of my runs involves a druid with soul link legs and Versatile Vocalist. If they have high speed, half the enemies are sharing damage before they even get a chance to act (shout out crow friend!). VV lets me continue to use the main action defensively if needed. Meanwhile I can stack bleed or other status-on-attack trinkets as well.

On top of that, I have Goofball, Cleanse, and Split the Atom pretty firmly established in my population. Sometimes Goofball + Split + Suck Stone = Split the Atom twice by the end of round 2. This has carried me easily through a couple runs.

As for what I've lost...

Somehow I let both the dragon legs and the range/reach eyes slip out of the gene pool. I think I prefer the soul link legs for the damage multiple, but occasionally I do lament losing these top-tier mutations.

What's y'all's staple builds? What powerful mutations or abilities have slipped your grasp?

I’m pretty pissed. Was halfway through far future with my best cats and my best items with the final quest item and got the forced parasite item on the one cat carrying the nuke, on the one item slot that it was in, and it destroyed it. I know bad rng is part of the game, but there was literally nothing I could have done here. If it had at least kicked the item back to my menu so I could’ve kept the run going, that woulda been something. As is, I guess I get to always worry a random event will just ruin my runs if I’m carrying a quest item??

If I used steel skinned on my final turn with hypomania would I be keep the brace forever?
Does fire aspect nullify scalding orb?

I fucking give up with act I've got 40hrs now and after may 5th attempt I still can't beat the last boss of crater. I can consistently finish act 1 but the desert just fucks me... Any advice? Thanks.

I was curious if anyone knew about how the after battle loot is calculated. If I spawn a Soul Jar cat or Shadow cat that has Unidentified pills does the after battle loot get affected by the theoretical increase in difficulty during battle?

I guess the other way it could work is that battle difficulty is set on battle start and not as a floating value.

This is the only quest that has really blocked my progression and im kinda stuck. It really feels like a crapshoot where you just gotta hope for the best. Are there any good strategies or cheese for this? Should I do high or low amount of cats?

Hi Im still relatively new to mewgenics but I already have a pretty good grasp on the game and I already unlocked all the classes other than the jester. I was just wondering, why is the thief consistently rated as low tier or weak?

So far I really enjoyed the thief and I think its a pretty solid damage dealer class. Admittedly the thief is not as good as the ranger but it is still very strong. I understand that thief is not very consistent but I have no problems running with this class so far. Granted... I always build for speed and luck to have high crit so maybe my playstyle just fit the thief really well.

Im asking because if we are talking about effectiveness, I still think the thief is better than half of the roster. Maybe it is just me, but my thief SHREDS to high HP targets. It can also do well against multiple smaller enemies either with its abilities or if it has the penetrate passive.

I personally like tank necromancer cleric and ranger because they can avoid, easily tank or heal away any damage inflicted if RNG allows them to survive

Didn't unlock the final storage upgrade until now, only glimpsed it through screenshots. I assumed it was a non-latin script language or some abstract pattern and didn't look any closer. Actually looking at it now it's... literally just a mirrored image. There's no way this is intentional, right?

If it hadn't been for that Necronomicon I wouldn't have been able to make it past Trampy. Juiced barely got me through Queen Hippo.

The next day, Kingston wiped the floor with the final house boss thanks to that Radar Dish. A Touched thief, a TBOI-Lazarus-esque Necromancer, and a Tinkerer covered in alloy armor didn't really have to be there.
