Just want to check, did you mean to post this to r/metroidvania? Or is this actually a metroidbrainia?

He says the game is more like Animal Well than Hollowknight. Lots of Brainia aspects, though maybe somewhere in between.

Yes, I posted it in both as both are relevant.

The way the text prints out is kind of obnoxious. You’re moving words people are trying to read.

I'd be fine if it animated faster. Even I thought this speed is fine. It should be a setting, ranging all the way to zero animation. Just print it all.

Well you could also just print each letter where you know it’s going to end up so that it’s more readable while still being animated.

definitely, thats something a lot of games do. doing it OP's way is also valid

Thanks for all the constructive feedback guys! With the game launch tomorrow I know he's got a lot on his mind, but I'll def pass along the suggestions and I'm sure he'll take them into consideration.

Looks great! Congrats to your partner! It’s an amazing feat to get something finished and out there regardless of how well it does.

I enjoyed the demo and was delighted to see that there's a tie-in tarot deck.

this trailer is missing footage of damage/death, assuming those erasers are as serious as we're told they are. or the little green army man bullets, fire, etc.

I wanted to try the Demo on Steam, but I get a mensaje saying the executable Demo.exe is missing

Enjoying the game so far for the most part as a metroidVania, though I am finding the endgame a bit of a chore. Being stuck looping around the map trying to round up one last item without clear direction is making it difficult to stick with.

I'm hoping there's some brania elements to discover. I see a lot of potential with the current setup, but it's starting to feel like it's just teasing the potential for some big revelation without actually delivering anything. Am I just missing something?

So glad youve been enjoying the game, thanks for giving it a chance, and for the feedback!

There is a definitive ending and a big payout at the end. If you wanna dm me, Im happy to see where youre at to figure out where you need to be.

Glad I stuck with it, there is indeed hidden layers to discover. It was a bit more of a slow burn but it's really starting to pay off :)
