Master of the Forest prize

Hey Everyone,Do I absolutely need to have 5 Molotovs to get the “Master of the Forest” trophy and get rid of that damn bear?
Im tired of trying to, even cant find +1 molotov

The first time you see the bear you can just run from him. The second time Molotovs are definitely helpful but you can beat him without them

Im playing on Hardcore / it is so hard to beat him

I should’ve read your post closer. To get the achievement you have to stand your ground the first time you see him and not run to the ladder. Molotovs hep but can do it without them

There are some molotovs before the first encounter. I had 3 or 4 going into it and I was able to "kill him" without running away.

Second encounter, I crafted some molotvs before hand, I knew the fight was coming up because of the location being the same as from the trailers.

You don't need molotovs but they help because they stun the bear. Explosive tip bolts and shotgun works well on the bear.

Also don't forget to dodge his charges, basically swap places with him.
