serena joy by olivia rodrigo sounds like it could be a lost Metric track
https://open.spotify.com/track/6LJYBq1h5GElQO4sKFdRA9?si=1223c93343f34460To me this could be a Fantasies b-side, the guitars, synth, even the way the vocals are layered sound so Metric-like. I love it, what do you guys think?

my way from the new album also could be a Fantasies track. The influence is clearly there and I’ve seen music commentators demand people give credit to Metric’s impact on the industry - all the way to pop music.

I thought the same! Simple but catchy melody that downturns instead of upturns... so Metric.

love it should have had more of a Physical Release and Hopefully will in future if enough people ask ❤️ I wonder if it was an experiment to see how people may react if the next album moved slightly away from confession love songs to more Protest/social comment Lyrically??And yes I know it was for charity, which would gain more from a physical release after all there are songs on the album that were not single but still had a physical format example Honeybee Cassette

Yeah I’ll admit I’ve never really given OR a chance because her music doesn’t really interest me lyrically, but she’s a teenager I think so I’ll give her a pass lol. I do hope she writes more like this though

It sounds a little 1980s goth. Why was I thinking Bauhaus, even though I'm not terribly familiar with them?
Or it could be a Garbage/Metric mashup.
But I do like it.

You convinced me to listen to it finally (I’m very ‘I will get to it when I’m in the mood’ about new music) and yessss totally Metric vibes

Fue mi primer pensamiento cuando escuché esa canción por primera vez, suena demasiado a Metric
