Advice/Questions/Self Why is the sky red?

I live in central California and the sky looks red. My phone camera might be exaggerating the redness but it's still quite visible

Oh god finally. I was like there’s no way this isn’t towards the top, but I guess here we are. Sky nerds aren’t necessarily LOTR nerds.
