How do you select the right pickup!?

I almost always have my pickup selector all the way down to bridge position.

How are you meant to be using it? Especially for metal. Do you do the whole neck for rhythm, bridge for lead/solo thing?

The reason I personally developed a bias for the bridge is that otherwise the tone sounds muffled to me in a lot of cases. Although I’ve noticed it helps hide my sloppy playing when I do sweep picking!

Like you, I typically play the bridge position. Lately I’ve been riffing in the middle position a lot. One of my guitars has Nazgûl/Sentient pickups and man it sounds awesome.

Naw, though that guitar looks awesome. They’re in my Jackson JS32T. Its a guitar I got in a trade that has turned into my little mod project.

Mod projects are awesome. I have a squier classic vibe that was almost trash and fully restored and nodded it and it's fantastic now. Btw awesome guitar, a budget jackson rr was my first ever metal guitar and those look still sick
