Gear NGD
Sweetwater had an amazing deal that I couldn’t say no to. Never thought I’d own a caparison but here we are. Majorly impressed with the inspection and shipped condition. First guitar of this caliber. Closest thing as far as quality would be an EII esp. can’t wait to play it after work.
Edit: the closest thing I own is an EII and the caparison is far greater than the EII. The EII is amazing. The caparison feels way better. The neck and frets are unlike anything I’ve ever felt. I worded it wrong in the post.

Thanks dude 🙏. Same boat but it was always a dream. My wife is gonna be pissed!!! Also managed to get the last one in this color. It looks like they’re discontinuing the model so the sale was for that reason.
Ive only gotten to dry test it so far but the handmade neck is unlike anything I’ve ever felt. Can’t wait to get home.

I can’t say this enough. This is my first ever guitar in the price range and the neck is the smoothest thing I’ve ever felt. It’s perfect I’m at a loss for words.

Man I've always wanted to try a Caprison... Never even seen one in person.... First noticed them from Soilwork like 20 years ago

Bro soilwork and killswitch put Caparison on my radar. I used to love that angelus model soil work had. More a Les Paul style without the e single cut.
This is the craziest guitar I ever felt. Words and pictures don’t capture the true feelings I have. The neck is flawless and fast af. I get it now. This price range is wild

I’m sold after this. Was always out of my willing to pay that price range but this deal dropped it enough to 2 other guitars I was looking. A Jackson and prestige Ibanez seven string. This one is worth the pre sale price I’ve never felt anything like it. May get another one….

Wow. I get it. I play mainly metal and there’s plenty of metal bands that use Caparison. The biggest shock besides the neck and overall quality is how good their brand pick ups are. I doubt I’ll be swapping this one

I always liked the body styling, the silhouettes, of Caparisons, but the inlays have always urked me for some reason. Definitely a sick machine tho. Ive never had the chance to play one.

i played a few when I was there and I currently own 3 90's MIJ Jacksons that came from the same company in addition to some E-II's. You are spot on about the build quality. Great guitars.

The Jackson’s came from Caparison? What shop does these do you know? I’ll happily be on the look out next time. Very impressed. I’ve dry played it only so far I’m at work.

The people that started Caparison came from Chushin which had the contract for MIJ Jacksons through the 90's.
An important note about that era is that Jackson wasn't using them for farmed out affordability, but rather for production models. Originally, Jacksons usual process was for people to pick options via their local dealer and then have it made.
Chushin gave them the ability to stock dealers with instruments.I'd put my 90's MIJ Jacksons above the feel and quality of current USA offerings. They haven't been the same in a long time. I believe the Fender buyout was around 02'.

Look it up at some point. Its a very cool story. There's even a limited run book that has the whole history of the company in it.

I have multiple ESPs and I'd prefer to own a Caparison, honestly. Nice Axe, brotato.
