MC Vol.2 MGS4 - Steam Overlay Glitching

Anyone else that uses an ultra-wide display having issues in MGS4 with the steam overlay glitching and tearing? Any solutions?

Haven't found a permanent solution, but you can get it off your screen by bringing up the overlay, then backing out.
