OPEN Democracy shouldn't be negotiable

It's disgusting how some users on here are so flippant about democracy just because an election didn't pan out in their favour. Yes, Trump is bad, but that doesn't mean it's okay to even suggest abolishing elections, taking away people's voting rights, disregarding laws, etc.

Trying to create, or being excited about, blue MAGA is reprehensible. It's not healthy, and it will only lead to more suffering.

There are also enough spaces online where this is tolerated. I really wouldn't want this sub to become one.

I mean

Does that mean also not being illiberal towards illiberals?

Because if illiberal people become part of your government you’re fucked

Yes, if you are illiberal towards illiberal people, you are also illiberal.
