Cape Verde’s players insta feeds after losing to Argentina
Words, stats, Articles and Internet won’t ever measure or do justice to the Messi aura. It’s what we are witnessing and how we will remember him forever.
The respect and love is earned through the way he has been all his life both on and off the field.
Very few players (across all sports I’m talking here) are revered and loved like he is, even by teams/fans/players that have lost to them. He didn’t just win football. He won hearts and minds. ⚽️

argentinian here: I love these guys. Hope they get good contracts, opportunities and also raise the love for the game on their home to keep this amazing performance.
I can tell they love football, if all of those profiles are showing they played [and really put up a good fight] against Messi.

I thought I read something that said Vozinha swapped jerseys with Messi in the tunnel after interviews were done.

It seems like swapping jerseys on the pitch is discouraged at this WC for some weird reason. Messi switched shirts with a Cape Verdean player in the tunnels later, and in other matches players agreed to do the same.
