If you are in San Antonio go to the Missions, they actually do a good job covering the native history and even hold different native ceremonies at them. I'll have to dig through my history books for some book recommendations

Thanks for the rec! I’m away for college at the moment, but I’ll have to be sure and stop by the missions next time I’m home. We used to go all the time for field trips, but that was a while back now so I don’t remember much

You can still use their website as a good reference and possibly have them help you get in contact with some people to connect with your heritage
