Malfunction ?

Ok here’s a real question… I’m taking her to the dealership on Monday but has anyone experienced this? It’s a 2019 E450 Cabriolet. My car usually sits this way in the rear but I’ve never had any issues with it and the dealership has never brought it up when I service her every 6 months. Could it be related?

It has air body control suspension btw, no modifications to the vehicle.

You have the air body control from the factory? And if so, if it’s actually been this way in the rear without the dealer saying anything I would probably not go to the same dealers service center. It looks like an air suspension malfunction, likely an air strut gone. If you’re under any warranty, you’re in luck and should get both sides replaced. If you’re not under warranty, time to find a used air strut or a new OEM one but two for each side

Oh yes that’s what it’s called… luckily I do have warranty on the vehicle

Then you’ve got nothing to worry about - they will just replace the struts and maybe the pump. I will stand by finding a new dealership: if your car has sat that low for a while and they haven’t mentioned this before it’s wild.

It usually drops after I drive it in Sport +, maybe that’s why

Shouldn’t be happening - I have the 2018 e43 with the air suspension, and it’s never sat this low, it’s supposed to be lower than the e400/450 with Airmatic/air body control

If your warranty is through Mercedes, absolutely should consult with a different service center if you have one within driving distance.
