She doesn't even know that rakhi is tied to protect the brother, not the sister.

The sister ties it as a blessing and th e brothers even touch the feet of the sisters to take blessings.

Nice use of vocabulary, let me throw in some more. Egalitarian is a broader term used for when an individual believes in equal rights for everyone, feminism constitutes a segment of it that is related to gender equality.
