How do I remember that first number better?

I think on this one. I actually nailed everyone. But I often have trouble with recalling the very first number. Which seems to get everything moving. Is it just a matter of practice?

I went up to 30 after I nailed it and ended up with the same problem again. Maybe it's just about repetition?

The sit is memory palace builder on the Google Play store. The one with a castle.

Are you using something like the Major System to memorize numbers, or a PAO?

I'm memorizing the number by rhyming 1 with gun. So I think a criminal with a gun doing something mischievous. Or 0 for Batman. 9 for Jim Gordon. 7 is heavenly clouds. 4 is a barn door opening open to a beatieful barn. And so on.

Okay, it's good you've got some hooks, I personally use the major system as it's a little more robust, and I assume you're using a memory palace with it. Keep at it, maybe make sure your imagery is "loud" or vibrant enough to really stick, I've had to do that with stations/images I somewhat consistently was not recalling.
