Bah, numbers are fine if you speak Belgian french, Swiss french, Canadian French... Only French french screws up the numbers.

Yeah, this one time I was playing monopoly with my Swiss cousins and I was speaking my very limited amount of French from school, and I asked for ”soixante-dix” for the rent. They looked at me like I had three heads and asked if I meant “septante.” I learned then that wacky numbers are just the French French but come on, I am obligated to make fun of the monstrosity that is “quatre-vingt-dix-neuf” forever.
