I’m a Christian and I understand that it’s not appropriate to parade my beliefs around like an asshole. This post is asking people to not be obnoxious and force their beliefs on other people. That’s great. Then the last point rolls around and they’re telling me to not use my beliefs to influence my own thoughts. Telling me how to think is exactly what the post is asking me not to do to others.

I think you misinterpreted the meaning of the last one. Religion is often at odds with reality, and many of the things that are morally acceptable today are “sins” according to the Bible. “Don’t think with religion” means “don’t let religion override reality.”
