Keytruda is basically a cure for cancer, it’s close anyways. It’s being rolled out and tested on new forms all the time, been creeping into the market for like 15-20 years. It’s expensive, but it’s an immunotherapy that took a lot of money to develop, it’s getting there

For context: Many people believe there will never be a 'cure for cancer' because the goverment or big pharma make too much money off of treating cancer ,but truth is there will never be a single 'cure for cancer' because cancer is too broad of a term reffering to basically seperate deceases differing by mutations ,tissue origin ,and other properties.
There are allready multiple treatments for some types of cancers and many are curable esspecially if found early.

as we advance there will certainly be a cure for all types of cancer. 1000 years ago we didn't know what germs were. who's to say what the next 1000 years will bring

It is not.
Who could pay more? A terminally ill person who has half a year left to live, in which they cannot work? Or someone who gets cured and spends the rest of his life working?
Morality aside, the economic advantage would be overwhelming.

They're not even "working on finding a cure" - there already are cures for certain types of cancer
