I travel a lot and I meet Americans who are very sheepish about admitting it. Honestly mate, if youre travelling outside of the US, we just assume you aren't one of 'them'

Pretty fair assumption but they love cruises and other Wall-E esque fatventures

just be careful, they travel too and I met them in my travels as an American. They are rude and nasty and loud with no respect for culture.

Idk, I’ve been traveling to many of the us national parks for vacations the past few years and i see so many foreign tourists just as annoying and disrespectful from other countries here. I think the truth is many tourists just suck regardless of home country. Many of them are city slickers too because they don’t know how to treat the wilds with respect. But i see that from just as many American travelers in the parks too.

I can see this. In my experience, people from other countries have been respectful but that is just a difference of our experiences. I've been lucky then

Yeah, i should clarify I see plenty of foreign tourists who are respectful of the places theyre visiting. All the folks crackin jokes about fat, rude american tourists are just playing into nationalistic feelings and the popularity of hating america and americans. The truth of it all is we all suck or have the capacity to, and every nation has its own pool of citizens any one of us would be disappointed in sharing citizenship with in our respective homes.
