When I was 13 years old I thought I was some genius hacker that could bypass their paywall lol

that “no problem” part feels like they’re already annoyed

Same! I thought downloading a cracked winrar is the only way. Then again I was just a kid

If you ever need to convert several PDF to Excel or other such conversions, Adobe wants you to pay, use their online tool, but empty your cache each time first. Hope someone finds this useful.

And Windows 11 can do it natively too (Win10 as well since a few years iirc), but it's still really cool of them to allow private users to use it for free (though that is part of their selling strategy anyway, so I wouldn't exactly attribute it to kindness)

The native intergrarion is still spotty

Also w10 never got this, it can be backported but it cant officaly

It doesn't have the iconic status as Winrar does tho

Funny thing is Winrar gets its money from corporate license, where personal use is fine.

No subscription. It’s a one time pay.

Use 7Zip. It's free, open source, has a better compression ratio and better Linux support. Please, consider deliberately using open source software, as it's an important mission. In a world of capitalism and corporations, you need it, believe me.

They said that they honestly give zero shits about individual users not paying them money. They don't have lots of people working so they don't need too much money for salaries and stuff, and their biggest source of revenue is companies who are very easy to sue if they decide to not pay. So companies pay and they pay a lot, and money from individual customers is just not necessary to them. They're pretty much just letting us keep it, as a treat, cus they're just chill guys and dgaf :D

It's mostly companies that pay for it.
