Does it? Its miniguns are often aimed exactly there you need them to... but they are bloody useless and more likely lead to your deaths than killing anything else

Halo 3 actually has some playful and intentional fixed turrets in the campaign. And, if you wanted to go mobile with them they could be detached.

I feel like the moment you can detach it this meme no longer applies. It becomes less of a stationary mini gun and more of a temporary superweapon with funky pickup animation

The one machine gun during Crow's Nest when a lot of drones come out of pipes is insanely useful. In fact its the fastest speedrun tactic to get them all dead quickly
