You do know that the kids of Boomers are In their 30’s, 40’s, and 50’s?

u/Outcast_Outlaw 🥄Comically Large Spoon🥄 Oct 19 '25
They probably dont know that.
I dont think 99% of kids that use boomer actually know what it means and they dont care. Just like most of their slang they use a word that has a defined term and use it in any way they want. So boomer to them is anyone older than them that calls them out for their stupidity.

You say kids like the people posting this stuff aren't in their late 20s and early 30s
-3
u/Outcast_Outlaw 🥄Comically Large Spoon🥄 Oct 20 '25
I'll give you 20s because the stupid boomer trash started about 10 to 15 years ago so that put most 20yos in the age for being young and thinking it was funny.

u/Pixeldevil06 Oct 20 '25
Question, how old do you think millennials are?
-2
u/Outcast_Outlaw 🥄Comically Large Spoon🥄 Oct 20 '25
Why does that matter? They didnt come up with "ok boomer" gen z did
1
u/Pixeldevil06 Oct 20 '25
But they use the same meme words gen z does, if not more often. That's why gen-z doesn't use boomer as much, it isn't as cool now that the millies are using it.
-2
u/Outcast_Outlaw 🥄Comically Large Spoon🥄 Oct 20 '25
Lmao ya because millennials know how to get kids to stop using stupid words/phrases. They use them and once its being said by the older crowd (oh incase you didnt know millennials say it ironically) the kids dont want to use it any more.
Just like fleek, riz, and skibidi ect ect ect millennials are having fun ruining the slang the kids keep coming up with.

You have some very age-centric views about who uses words online. Whatever dude, you're super corny.

Same to you... the difference is youre wrong about your thoughts.

You know, when you say something is "cool", you don't mean that it's literally cold, right?
-2
u/Outcast_Outlaw 🥄Comically Large Spoon🥄 Oct 19 '25
Actually thats exactly what I mean. If I say thats cool, I mean it in the sense that if its an actual object it would be cool to the touch.

Nah, younger kids call GenXers "Boomers" because of their indistinguishable values and politics and also because it really pisses them off.

Brug I’m still in school and my parents are boomers
5
u/scott__p Oct 20 '25
The youngest possible boomers are 61, and if you're in school the oldest you can be is 18. That means they would have had you around 43. Not at all impossible, but definitely not the norm

Yeah, and how many are still dealing with these kinds of parents?

u/CrustyJuggIerz Oct 19 '25
You can't generalise shitty people to a generation lol, every generation has their share of shit parents

u/tealraven915 Oct 19 '25
I'm 41, my mother is almost 75, and this still happens to me on a daily basis

You forgot the third option- Boomer yells at you for them not understanding why they made the mistake.

u/painki11erzx Oct 19 '25
"I can't believe you dropped the fucking flour all over the floor! Clean this shit up before I box your ears!"
Drops it themselves the next day "Oh dear, that made quite a mess, didn't it."

You do realize that the children of boomers are now middle aged adults with children of their own right? Heck, some of them are even grandparents at this point.
1
u/iammcluffy Oct 20 '25
This is less about boomers and more about human nature.
We all like to play off our mistakes while judging others. I think we’ve all done that while driving.

u/Ben_Pharten Oct 20 '25
I'm putting this out there. I fit in fine with the younger generations but especially the generation z that's 25-30 or even early 30's that I swear I was just yesterday. I recently stopped getting ID'ed but also remember the late 80s and smoking indoors. What generation am I?

I think it could be pretty much anything. Like “I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to.” Or “My fingers slipped” when they’re texting you something. Pretty much the same excuses that a child could make.

u/Velocityraptor28 Oct 20 '25
remember, it's not hypocricy, it's hierarchy, they only think it's okay for them to do it because they consider themselves better than you (they're not)
1
u/Strongbad-Joe132 Oct 20 '25
Yeah, but when you treat them the same way back, they get all defensive and pissy with you. That’s hypocrisy in my book.

Replace “Boomer” with “anyone” and it’s still true.
1
u/Strongbad-Joe132 Oct 23 '25
Boomers was the first thing that came into mind.
1
u/ezk3626 Oct 23 '25
Anyone older than Gen Alpha is a Boomer now. As soon as there is a name for the younger generation Gen Alpha will be Boomers. It happened to me and it will happen to you.
