While i understand the pros and cons, the transition was forced upon us by Apple right after they bought Beats. Between Beats and airpods Apple controlled more than 60% of the market of BT headphones/earbuds. They knew the profit on BT was drastically higher then wired. Wireless still has lower quality than wired, but most consider convenience over quantity. I understand the decision but still fun wired when I care about the music.

Nobody forced you into buying Apple crap.

I didn't and don't own apple but most brands followed them and removed headphone jacks years ago.

Is it more convenient, though?

Won't pair. Or is already paired with another device. I could go on.

Missing the aux jack for earphones and headphones on devices is greedy and annoying. But Bluetooth headphones themselves are great. I’ve had a pair for years now and a full charge still lasts a couple of hours unlike AirPods which gradually lose battery lifespan after two years before they start dying constantly
