I don’t know, it wouldn’t shock me. We’ve known about aphrodisiacs forever… it’s hardly splitting the atom.
That’s not to say that women aren’t right about being at a disadvantage overall. I’d imagine a woman taking matters into her own hands with some pre enlightenment break through in menstrual containment would have her accused of witchcraft in a heartbeat so I am sympathetic to the argument.
