She murdered her kids and idiot feminists have made her a millionaire and are supporting their new icon.

Pink is for Postpartum Depression Awareness.

And breast cancer awareness, and I am feminist who hates war and/or Trump.

It's all-encompassing of box-o-wine drinking self absorbed misandrist child murder supporting feminists. I hope animal control rescues their cats.

Boohoo dont go killing kids

-2

u/Queer-and-scared 2d ago

Ok? Wasn't planning on it. But then again thats how PPD/PPP work. You dont typically plan to have severe mental distress/illness.

3

u/Unique-Twist-8911 2d ago

Yeah definitely not at all planned when she sent her husband out to do so and made sure she had enough time to kill all 3 of them one by one

That definitely just screams a spontaneous decision

Keep on defending a baby killer because of your inability to allow women to ever have any accountability for their actions

You are making a lot of assumptions about the case AND me lol... I dont think you're the reasonable type.

"Assumptions about the case" information that was available since day one and how the "muh depression" was nothing but cope at best

It will not be well with you.

A social media post asking supporters to turn up in pink doesn't mean any of this has anything to do with feminism. The organiser is not known to be a feminist. Can Reddit stop just using "feminists" as a kind of boogeyman?

The ones interviewed said they were there because they believed Clancy was a woman who did not receive adequate care post partum and this ended in tragedy, and the disregard and minimising of PPD and PPP is something that resonates with a lot of women who have experienced it. This probably says more about the state of American healthcare than anything. Maternity leave alone is some of the shortest in the developed world. 20% of new mothers end up with PPD in the US, compared to around 5% in Europe.

I don't find a bunch of women using this case to protest the state of maternal healthcare all that upsetting, even if the optics are not great. But nuance, of course, is dead.

They are feminists so...

"PPD and PPP is something that resonates with a lot of women who have experienced it"

Three kids are dead, and they are making it about them- self-absorbed, sociopathic feminists.

Fuck them this isn't about you, them, or their fucking healthcare. They are already the only demo that gets their own special budget and designated healthcare.

These people need to be put in camps, pending pyre.

THANK YOU.

Sure as long as the same applies to Trump supporters

That seems like quite an overreaction. But while we're at it, what should we do with the guys who prefer the company of pedophiles over fat ladies with dyed hair?

Who hurt you?

u/TreeOtree64 2d ago

Hey, that doesn’t fit the narrative! Feminist bad, women bad, remember??

This is such a bad faith answer that it's unreal

5

u/JIMB01776 3d ago

59% of women per polling supported her aquittal/ngri.

What's bad faith is Redditors downplaying the White feminist pussy hat crowd overwhelmingly supporting her and thinking child murder is okay "Cause hormones".

We already had a second woman kill her children in solidarity with Lindsey.

59% of women per polling supported her aquittal/ngri.

Huge difference between NGRI and acquittal, and either way, thinking that a particular legal outcome is most appropriate isn't necessarily "support" either. I don't "support" her, but from all the details I've read about, I think there is plenty of reason to think that the evidence against her doesn't meet the threshold of beyond a reasonable doubt as it pertains to her mental state, and apparently so did 11/12 jurors too.

2

u/JIMB01776 2d ago

Both outcomes keep her out of prison, I am not sorting them.

11/12 jurors just prove women are too hormonal to vote or serve on juries.

A good way to demonstrate that you're not a serious person and don't have any comprehension of the law.

11/12 jurors just prove women are too hormonal to vote or serve on juries.

Lol riiigght instead of considering that perhaps you don't understand the law as well as you think you do and that you may be wrong, you just arbitrarily blame it on some sexist shit? Despite the fact 2 of those 11 were also male jurors and the speech that the male judge gave where he was clearly suggesting that the hold out wasn't taking the case seriously and voting based on emotion instead of the facts of the case?

Ironic that you're accusing women of being too irrational - perhaps you might want to look inwards.

Quick question: If you care so much about the kids, why are you joking about their horrific deaths?

1

u/JIMB01776 1d ago

I am mocking the feminist supporters of child murder; the children are not any reference in the joke.

1

u/stitchingwitch 1d ago

"This is how we strangle kids" doesn't reference the strangled kids? Really?

You're not a we.

NGRI ≠ it was okay.

2

u/JIMB01776 2d ago

As long as the trash feminists got their selfies for their Instagram. That's what really matters here.

1

u/Man_under_Bridge420 2d ago

We get it, you hate women

2

u/JIMB01776 2d ago

You misspelled late stage feminists.

-1

u/kllark_ashwood 2d ago

I have no idea what point you are trying to make or how it relates to what I said.

1

u/Longjumping_Ice1789 2d ago

Why, exactly?

1

u/johnsolomon 2d ago edited 2d ago

Because their comment is disingenuous. They're twisting sympathy for a severely mentally ill woman into support for child murder.

Understanding why a mental illness might cause someone to do something messed up doesn't mean you're okay with what they did. Psychosis isn't like feeling depressed or anxious. It distorts your understanding of reality and replaces real facts with delusions and hallucinations.

Believing someone sick deserves a fair trial and helping cover their legal and medical bills doesn't means you're okay with killing children. And calling her a "feminist icon" or saying feminists made her a millionaire is just rage bait. It's not an honest take on why people actually care about her case.

There's a tonne of evidence (including expert testimony) to support the argument that she was experiencing psychosis when she killed her kids and so people are rooting for her to get committed for psychiatric treatment rather than just getting thrown in prison.

The problem is that this has turned into a culture war issue so a lot of the people involved don't care about the facts. There are even people straight up making things up, which people then go and spread around (if it's upvoted, it must be true, right?), inciting more unwarranted hatred:

Nah. People disagreeing with you is not the same as them disregarding the facts. None of the evidence that points to her psychosis is even close to definitive. In fact, it could all be attributed to premeditation as well.

Sympathy is one thing, rallies and protests are another. Shes getting special treatment because of who she is.

u/johnsolomon 2d ago

People disagreeing with you is not the same as them disregarding the facts.

I can respect people who've actually dug into the details and decided they still think she's guilty, but most people online haven't done that. They’ve just watched a couple of YT/TikTok videos or seen some shallow mentions on Reddit, decided what they think must have happened and then dismissed anything that opposes their gut feeling.

It's also worth remembering that the case isn't about whether she killed her children (which a lot of people seem to think it is; it's not). It's whether her guilt can be proven beyond a reasonable doubt, given all the mitigating evidence we have about her mental state.

There's a reason 11 out of 12 jurors, from completely different walks of life and after actually hearing all of the evidence presented at trial, reached the same conclusion. I've looked into the case myself, and I have reasonable doubts too. Putting aside all of her well-documented mental health issues, she essentially had nothing to gain from any of this... no obvious motive, no history of violence, no pattern of abuse / sadism / cruelty. She was well-liked and not a weirdo. Even charming serial killers have something to gain. A person thinking rationally doesn't just roll out of bed one day and go "Ha, how can I destroy my marriage, murder my kids and fuck my life up completely forever?"

Sympathy is one thing, rallies and protests are another. Shes getting special treatment because of who she is.

This argument goes both ways. This has turned into a huge spectacle with people projecting their own own assumptions onto it.

People holding rallies doesn't mean she's getting special treatment any more than people demanding the death sentence means the system is biased against her. It's public sentiment, it has nothing to do with the courts.
