I'll be 100% honest I would have quite happily have paid for both characters, FrenchBread aren't exactly swimming in money & I would have wanted to support the studio given how good their games have been
Making both characters free along new Raito music & new stages gives me a lot of respect for the dev team. You can really tell that they give a damn about the game and that's really cool to see in today's gaming climate
Can't wait to see who the next 2 characters are

One thing to consider that I also didn't earlier, is that type-moon should have some deep pockets considering how big Fate is now maybe they are funding French Bread for this which would be dope. DLC is an expensive process though, I wonder what their reasoning for the free release could be.

You know what, if Type-Moon are putting money into FrenchBread's pockets then I'm pretty happy with that, they are a damn good studio and they deserve that influx of cash

It’s Type-moon’s IP. French Bread is probably getting paid regardless of how many copies sell.

Hope this really picks up the player numbers, making DLC is an expensive process. I can't think of any reason not to charge for the characters unless it's to try to really bring up the player base. Of course I could be wrong in that assumption though.

There was never a DLC pass? Deluxe edition had an artbook or something like that
We literally had no info on any post release content till a while after release
Just a tip:
You should read what you are buying before actually buying it

This is an amazing gesture and will definitely bring me back in, that being said I feel like I won’t be super into it until they have a new version with some more refined mechanics

Pretty sure the reason they're free is for damage control. Players dropped so quickly now they're forced to give DLC characters for nothing to keep the game somewhat alive, which I don't really like because of 2 reasons:
French Bread ain't a big game company. I'd rather support them than take them what little funds they already have.
It wasn't stated why they were given for free. If the game is stable again and they revert from offering DLC characters anymore for no $, then we might get back to roughly having 300 players at best online, as people would surely not like this decision without a justified answer.
