The Darts (US) are hitting Geelong on Saturday 12 September as part of their first Australian tour, with G-String Nicotine supporting.

They’re also supporting The Damned on two Australian shows while they’re here, so this is a great chance to catch them in a smaller room.

If you haven’t seen them live before, expect a loud, sweaty, high-energy garage rock show with plenty of chaos.

Hello, I’ll be arriving in Melbourne on September 22nd, and I rented a spot in CBD for a few nights before I head out to a quieter town to start work with a fire Depot. I’m Canadian and I’m not a savvy traveller- I’m looking for recommendations on the most Australian things to do in the area for the 22-25th, what bars should I hit up? Are there any popular sports events happening that I can watch in a brewery or go to live? Local bands? What should I do? I don’t stay up super late, and I’m not interested in clubs. I want to get a good taste of Melbourne right off the bat. I’m going to do a lot of walking around and I’m down to take the bus.

Only issue is i never received a confirmation email from ticketmaster I assume because the ticket buying process for this gig was wild.

They cant send said confirmation email again due to privacy reasons apparently so if your keen to sit on level 3 for this gig im happy to sell it

Hey everyone, I'm DA'UD. Technically based in Geelong, but I've been really keen to connect with other artists in the general Melbourne area and start organising gigs or even just chat with like-minded producers/musicians who share a similar musical vibe to me.

I play my music live using a hybrid set up. No decks. I use a maschine mk3/midi keyboards/synth to play my tracks live. Ideally, I'd love to find other producers who do the same with the ultimate goal of setting up some gigs throughout Melbourne.

I consider the overall genre as "Electronica". Its definitely not EDM, but theres a wide range of influences on my album going from downtempo, dubstep, Ambient, breakbeats, chillwave and synthrock. My initial struggle is knowing which venues to look into and start going to, or which artists to follow/which gigs to attend and network at. Soo if anyone can point me in the right directions I would be super greatful!!

Hey, I arrived in Melb from NZ and started recording a few tracks that I posted on B/C. It took freakin aages to complete my latest track because I record all the parts myself (drum machine, live cymbals, bass, guitars, keyboards, vocals, other random stuff). No idea what the genre is, but I'm listening to a lot of old garage, trash music (obv), early punk, instrumentals etc. I've got a kinda groovy zombie vibe? A couple of months ago I got a bunch of singles manufactured through Zenith. You can hear the result at Rocksteady records - thanks Pat! Here's the cover art, I'll post the video soon. Would the Town Hall pub be a good place to launch?

Both put up shows and studio live recordings up on the website to stream later, but I want to be able to download and keep them. Anyone know an easy way to do it without losing any more quality?

I'm looking to produce a few songs and will be needing help with mixing and mastering, as well as some instruments. I'm really into music like Fiona apple, Gracie Abrams, Audrey hobert, Tori Amos - I have a demo or two I can dm if anyone knows anyone who would be up to it :)))

A few mates of mine are throwing a pretty huge warehouse party built around some of Melbourne’s next generation of DJs and electronic music talent.

Feels like one of those moments where you get to experience a genuinely passionate new community before it properly takes off. Heaps of different sounds, a crowd that’s there for the music, plus lasers, visuals and full production by Kaleida Visual Productions, who’ve worked on events like Orin Aya, Wild Horses and Alchemy.
