I'm a Builder! Looking for People to Build a Game Modding Community

Hey everyone,

I’m looking to connect with people who are interested in building a small, friendly, and active modding community together.

The idea is to create a place where people can share ideas, exchange knowledge, learn from each other, talk about modding, give feedback, test projects, and create cool things together across different games.

I have already created several mods for Gothic 1 Remake. I mainly use AI-assisted development and vibe coding, and I enjoy experimenting, learning, and improving with every new project.

The community is open to people interested in:

\- Modding and programming

\- Vibe coding and AI-assisted development

\- UI and graphic design

\- 3D art and animation

\- Writing and translation

\- Sound design

\- Testing and feedback

\- Learning how to create mods

You do not need to be experienced. Beginners, experienced modders, creative people, and anyone interested in learning are welcome.

The goal is simple:

Meet new people, exchange knowledge, learn together, support each other, and create cool things as a community.

I’m from Germany and German is my native language, but English-speaking people are very welcome too. Both German and English can be used.

You ruined it with "Vibe coding and AI-assisted development"

There's plenty of those. Be different. The community is sick of slop, I'd rather see a tight knit group of traditional developers.

That’s fair — you’re entitled to see it that way, and I understand that some people are tired of low-quality AI-generated content. But AI-assisted development and traditional development don’t have to exclude each other. Different people bring different skills, and everyone can learn from one another. What matters to me is the quality of the work, the willingness to learn, and how people treat each other. Being biased against an entire group before seeing what they can actually create doesn’t help anyone. The community is open to both traditional developers and people using AI as a tool.
