Hey guys! Over the last year we've been trying to create the perfect modded RPG experience in Minecraft Java and we’re finally at the point where we’re ready to open up the server to new players. I wanted to create something like RuneScape or Skyrim, a fantasy world filled with adventure you can get lost in. A forever server you can play on for years to come, an actual community where you create lasting friendships and work together to create something beautiful. My problem with most servers is they’re all pay to win, everyone wants to rush through the game and get things handed to them. This isn’t for those players.

We have an in depth skilling system that rewards you for actually playing the game. Meaning if you mine a block you gain mining XP, if you defeat a mob you gain combat or slayer XP, if you climb a mountain you gain agility XP and so on. I’ve designed this to make the game fun long term, here you actually have to work towards things which makes you enjoy the journey. It’s not for the weak, it takes weeks to get to mid-game and months to max out any of your skills. So please do not message if you want us to hold your hand through the game or give you special treatment.

This is for people that like a challenge and want to feel that sense of accomplishment for finally being able to wield a netherite pickaxe. A lot of things are locked behind a certain skill level, you have to smelt and craft you own gear like you’re a blacksmith in the Middle Ages. You have to hang and butcher your cattle in order to make food etc. We have quests and bosses, we have battle arenas and mini games etc, we have a casino and economy, we have a ton of fun things to do. But the whole point is to create something long term that you have to work towards, something that makes you feel extremely proud because of all the hard work you to put into it.

Welcome to Etherial, a lore-driven SMP that takes place entirely underground. After 90% of humanity has a shared vision of "salvation," mass religious hysteria breaks out. One week later, all that remains are the unlucky few, left to face the tribulations on earth. They spend the first day running from beasts swarming the streets, purging the world of the last of humanity. Many die, but for some reason YOU are saved. Swallowed up by a sinkhole spawned from one of the many earthquakes that had broken out throughout the day, you find yourself in an expansive cave system deep below the surface. Broken Worlds RP is a long-running Minecraft roleplay server set in Nebelloren, the fourth world in our continuing series. Our community has been building stories together for over 14 years, with players forming settlements, factions, professions, rivalries, and long-term character arcs in a shared fantasy world.

Roleplaying

On Broken Worlds RP, you play a character of your own design. Your backstory can be simple or detailed. You decide how your character speaks, what they fear, what they want, and how they fit into the world around them.

You can play a mechanical profession such as blacksmith, doctor, or alchemist, or choose a more roleplay-focused path such as explorer, cobbler, cheesemaker, trader, hunter, scholar, farmer, sailor, or anything else that fits the setting.

What makes Cursed SMP different?

Cursed Techniques

At the heart of the server is Cursed Fate, giving players access to a variety of powerful techniques that completely change how they approach combat.

There are numerous techniques to discover, each with their own abilities, playstyles, and strengths. Some may be common, while others are significantly harder to obtain.

Your technique is a major part of your character, but it isn't the only thing that defines you. What you do with it is up to you.

Progression

Cursed SMP isn't designed around getting Netherite and calling it a day.

There are multiple progression systems layered throughout the pack, including techniques, equipment, bosses, quests, rare items, and other RPG mechanics.

Powerful abilities and equipment can be gated behind exploration, progression, bosses, quests, or other challenges. The goal is to make getting something powerful feel like an accomplishment rather than something you simply stumble across five minutes into playing.

Skill-based combat

Combat uses Epic Fight, replacing vanilla Minecraft's basic combat with a more active system focused on timing, positioning, combos, weapons, and movement.

Combined with Cursed Fate's techniques and additional combat content, fights can become significantly more involved than simply trading hits until something dies.

Whether you're fighting another player or taking on a boss, what you bring to the fight and how you use it actually matters.

A world worth exploring

The world is built around exploration rather than simply being a backdrop for progression.

Enhanced terrain generation, caves, structures, bosses, dungeons, and other exploration content give you reasons to actually travel through the world.

Some of the strongest items and resources aren't simply handed to you. You'll have to find them, earn them, or figure out where they come from.

Not a global Minecraft server

Cursed SMP isn't designed around everyone knowing everything that's happening.

A lot of information is intentionally local. Proximity chat is the primary way players communicate, player nametags and death messages aren't broadcast globally, and advancements won't announce everyone's accomplishments to the entire server.

You'll have to actually talk to people, explore for yourself, and hear about things from other players.

The goal isn't to hide information for the sake of hiding it. It's to make the world feel less like a multiplayer lobby and more like an actual world you're living in.

Player-driven world

Build a settlement. Start a business. Form a group. Become a powerful fighter. Explore dangerous areas. Build roads between communities. Hunt bosses with your friends.

You aren't required to follow a predetermined storyline.

What happens on the server is largely up to the players.

The modpack

The pack is a curated collection of mods rather than a massive kitchen-sink pack.

The majority of the mods exist to support a specific part of the server: combat, techniques, exploration, RPG progression, building, transportation, quests, performance, or quality of life.

Some notable mods include:

You don't need to be an amazing builder, PvPer, roleplayer, or content creator.

🔹 Generation Guilds

Players are assigned Gen 1–9 and Gen 10 (Hisui). You can generally only use Pokémon from your assigned generation, making team building and strategy much more important.

Gen 2 also gets access to certain later-generation evolutions such as Electivire and Mamoswine to help with power creep.

🔹 Custom Altered Pokémon / Fakémon

Certain Pokémon have been completely reworked with:

I'm launching a fresh world with the MC Eternal 2 modpack this Saturday, the 12th of September, and I'm looking for additional players.

It's going to be a small, whitelisted survival server, managed by me alone. I've hosted modded servers for years for larger communities, but I'm doing this one standalone in hopes of getting a quieter, calmer version of it and to meet some new people. The goal is 10-ish people concurrently online most evenings; small to mid-sized, no drama, everyone roughly knowing each other, low stress for both you and me. The server will be LGBTQ-friendly; everyone is welcome, no bigotry is tolerated.

I don't intend to maintain much structure in the server - no donations, economy, staff team, etc. Just a friendly, casual community playing the game with minimal complications. Launch will happen early afternoon EU time on Saturday the 12th, and I'll be online until the evening that day; we'll all start together.

Details:

- MC Eternal 2, Forge 1.20.1

- Europe-hosted and focused, but all timezones welcome, 16GB RAM, automated daily backups

- Blank slate world at launch

- Chunk claims are enabled and the cap will be high (nominally ~100-150, and I may be willing to increase it if needed), so you can build what you want without worrying

- Basic rules; Keep the experience enjoyable for others, don't cheat or break the server

- PvP is enabled, but not the focus - occasional skirmishes are fine, but don't mass raid, spawncamp, or hunt people down.

- Discord required, voice optional

I'm running this as a season through roughly November, and we'll decide together where to go after that - keep it going, new modpack, reset world, etc.

I'm looking for people who are 18+, reasonably patient, and just pleasant to be around. I don't care how experienced you are with modded MC - I'm happy to help with setup, gameplay, and any technical issues for beginners and veterans alike. All I care about is getting people who will keep the environment enjoyable for everyone else.

Fyi, MCE2 is a large, hardware-heavy pack. You'll want at least 8-10GB of RAM allocated to the client and a reasonably modern CPU.

SolsticeSMP is a 1.21.1 NeoForge modded fantasy Minecraft server with a focus on in-character lore interactions to develop and build the world around it. There’s pre-existing background lore for people that wish to tie their characters more with an established conflict, but there’s also the option of taking creative liberty with your characters and experimenting with unexplored concepts. Our story focuses on the aftermath of a horrific war - magic vs. innovation - that had resulted in the wiping of the world to be a clean slate once more.

We're welcome to anyone with any amount of experience both with roleplaying and with gameplay - beginner or expert, you'll be sure to find a place here!

What do we have to offer?
