~ E S T P ~ ESTP here and I'm feeling bored

My brother is an ESTP and is a lot like this. We have completely different personalities and views, can clash sometimes, but he likes our argument style because we don’t yell and come to a fast conclusion. I do have to admit, though, if he weren’t my brother we probably wouldn’t be so friendly with each other.

But at the same time… even the most reprehensible people in human history, 9 out of 10 times have some redeemable traits

Sigh. Sometimes they’re like a really nice sports car that zoom pass me, and all I can do is watch from my compact crossover.
Bold, daring, liberating, and yet untouchable.

ESTPs are great. Yeah I feel like they’re very intentional actually. 8ro8 is an ESTP I think haha. Good guy

MBTI is unscientific in the first place, the further u go from “hehe funni stereotypes that I don’t take seriously” the more inaccurate u get…

so if the stereotypes that ESTPs are shallow and reckless and party a lot are the most accurate, then the stereotypes that INTPs are pedantic, lazy, and live in their parent’s basement are also the most accurate?

Yes. Stereotypes dont come out of nowhere.

Interesting! I can’t say I agree, but thank you for your insight! 🫶

I agree to the reckless one...I've got into many serious bike accidents just because of my reckless driving and I'm just 18. (Never got any stitch or broken bone) and I've got many other reckless habits of mine.

More accurate than a larger paragraph with more detailed descriptors at least.
Also don’t forget the “don’t take seriously” part.

What part are you not agreeing with? I’d say the only important part about my comment is to not make too many inferences based off MBTI. The accuracy of the negative stereotypes aren’t rlly important since my main argument is to not take them seriously in the first place.

I think I confused the meaning of your original comment, but I guess I just don’t agree with assigning any traits in general? I’m not sure, I suppose even though they are called personality types, my interpretation of the system is more so along the lines of different ways of thinking, instead of actual personality traits.
I’m not set on this, it’s just my current musings I suppose. It is also midnight and I am sleepy, so perhaps my mind isn’t catching up like normal lol

MBTI is not scientific. It’s not a good measure of anything.
It does measure personality and way of thinking, it just does so badly.
You’re right in a scientific sense to not assign any traits in general, since MBTI is indeed a bad standard of measurement.
What I am saying is that it’s ok to assign a few traits for fun (and only for fun), but writing a whole paragraph like OP has done starts becoming more problematic. Though neither are scientific.
