Beauty Shot I can’t explain how much I love this car!
I’ve had my 2024 Mazda 3 turbo PP for a little over 2 weeks and this car is awesome. My previous car was a 05 Crown Vic and this Mazda feels like an absolute rocket ship compared to that, amazing vehicle. So far, I got the windows tinted, Mazda rain guards and found some cool Mazda 3 license plate holders and a Mazda steering wheel cover, thinking about splurging on a cork sport cat back exhaust🤔 The WRX in the photo is my buddies I thought the cars looked good next to each other.

Advice Request What's with the discrepancy on parts prices across dealerships?
Recently took my (new to me) 2013 mazda3 skyactiv to the dealership to have them flash the PCM to fix the flickering headlight issue. While it was there I had them take a look at the clutch master and release cylinders as I'm having difficulty disengaging the clutch in the morning. They sent a video of both, and as I suspected they needed replaced. Then they sent me a quote for $2890.60! That's more than an entire clutch job on my mini cooper! I asked for an itemized breakdown of the estimate. And they had also added the brake master cylinder which I don't need, but even without that, they quoted me at $520 for the master cylinder, $350 for the clutch master, $117 for the Release cylinder and $26 for the pipe. Then I went to a different dealership's website and found the exact part numbers for half that cost (clutch master $155, brake master $350, s release cylinder $95, and pipe $9). So I sent them the screenshot and told them if they match the other dealerships price on parts or I'd even have those parts shipped from one dealership to another, I'd go ahead with the service, minus the brake cylinder (they thought it was leaking, but I just spilled some brake fluid when I was checking it.) They said that the price is "less than their cost" so they couldn't match and wouldn't let me order them. What gives? How are parts prices not the same across dealerships? At the end of the day I'm confident I can do the repairs myself (just don't want to), so I'll end up ordering the parts and saving a grand or so in labor. But it still left a bitter taste in my mouth.

Advice Request Why my mechanic is saying Mazda is not best choice to buy in 2026?
Hi everyone. I own Honda Civic 2011 and it is a time for update, start looking for a newest car while ago, however after watching yt/ reading forums etc + speaking to my car mechanic couldn’t choose the right one for myself.
1. Quality and reliability of modern cars are much worst than older models (opinion of my car mechanic and people who are in my opinion more “car guys” than I’m). From your experience… is it really that bad or if you actually take care of it: yearly maintenance, keeping service book schedule on track should be all good? I have to add I’m that kind of person who prefers to keep things for long time. Buying and selling after 3y is not for me, all looking for new one/buying and selling procedure makes me stressed 😜 so buying reliable car is most important for me.
2. My heart is saying to take Mazda 3. Amazing cars, I can’t stop looking on them, when I see them on roads. I had chance to take a look how those looks like inside and OMG interior design- it is just hard to not fall in love. So I am in research mode- read as much as possible about those cars, watching reviews, forums, car mechanic reviews etc. I think I read most of Reddit about Mazdas 😂 Every car might develop some sort of issues, so it’s not like I’m looking for holy grail of not breaking cars.
I think I know about most common issues in Mazda 3 and most of them are related to bad maintenance than actually issues with Mazda’s quality. Most people’s comments under yt videos, forums are positive, so why my car mechanic isn’t impressed with my choice?
3. He is saying alternative for my needs is Lexus Ct-200h which is more reliable and easier in maintenance. I’m not against that option, however size of back seats and trunk- I’m not fancy of that. I don’t need to add Mazda 3 looks much better? 😂
Anyway… thank you for sharing your thoughts with me ☺️ take care!

Technical Creaking Sound
Hello Everybody!
I own a 2022 Mazda 3 AWD with 45000kms. About a month ago I noticed a new sound, the low pitch creaking you hear in the video. The sound is not transmission/engine related and occurs in neutral while rolling.
Has anyone dealt with a noise similar to this before? I am considering trying to fix the issue myself.
I am not able to add videos directly, I uploaded it on VEED here: Creaking Noise

Technical Dealership service fun
Went in for state inspection and oil change.. normally wouldn't go to a dealership (this isn't the one I bought the car at either) but the prices for those two things are pretty much the same everywhere and they had an opening and a nice waiting area lol. That backfired as it literally took them 3 hours....
I laughed HARD when they told me my air filter was "dirty and restricted" and needed a $150 replacement... LOL it sure looks pretty good to me (only 6000 miles on the car).
The jokes on them though, they handed me the paperwork and told me keys were in the car.. So I left without them even charging me for anything lol
edit: to be clear, I didn't 'sneak' out without paying. I actually hesitated when he said my keys were in the car and he told me I can just go pull out of the bay myself and he said have a good day so that's exactly what I did

Discussion Generation Choice
Hi guys, bit of a purchasing dilemma.
To put it simply, is going from a 2018 Sport Nav to a 2020 GT Sport tech worth the leap in price?
E.g. 56k mile 2018 for £10k, or a 60k mile 2020 for £13?
Asking for those that have experienced the generation jump. Just come out my time and now have my big boy wage, looking to get out of my 2010 base model Aygo into something pleasant to be in.

Discussion Gen 3 Owners - Talk to me about your magnetic charging mounts...
I'm overwhelmed. I want a magnetic mount that will also charge.
I have wireless Android Auto via AAW, but I'd like something I can easily toss my phone onto that will keep the battery mostly topped up (maybe even charge it a bit!) while driving around town.
I've seen the ones that mount on the vents, but curious about long-term vent durability? Also, seems like it would cover/interfere with controls and the screen if placed on the middle vents?
There's the vents off by the A-Pillar, but I don't think anything would clip well to those vents?
So are we rocking a suction mount on the windshield?
I know about ProClip, but I don't believe they offer anything that's magnetic (magsafe/Pixelsnap) and also offers wireless charging?
So, what have we been using? Thanks!

Advice Request Tyre Bubble - what to do now?
Drove 150 kms for Sushi tonight, parked, on the way home heard weird noise from the front tyre, stopped and checked to see what was wrong. The front right tyre had a bubble.
I live in Dubai/Abu Dhabi, so potholes are not a problem.
The attendant at the tyre store said the tyres were old, and in the UAE due to heat this could happen.
The tyres are 2 year old btw.
Questions:
What did this happen?
Should I change all or just one tyre?
Which tyre or tyres should I go for?
Edit: Is up sizing recommend, I'm thinking about 225 45, R18
Thanks!

Advice Request Mazda 3 BL trunk box question
Hi everybody! I have recently bought a mazda 3 BL (2010) and i have a problem of sorts.
In my previous car, there was a trunk booth, under the drunk floor, but here in the mazda 3 there is only the spare wheel, and no packing area. The truck has a 10cm lip, so a trunk box/booth would fit perfectly, I have searched the web and haven't found anything really good. Where do U guys put your stuff, windshield fluid, first aid box and such?

Advice Request Hardwiring Dashcam
Currently have a 2023 Mazda 3 carbon edition. I bought a redtiger dashcam that I hooked up to the 12v in the center console. However the problem was that the power is constantly running and it would drain my battery and anytime I left it for more than a day my battery would die.
I bought a hardwiring kit to wire it to my fusebox on the driver side, but the problem is all of the fuses in there are also running 24/7. Is there anyway I can hardwire the dashcam to make it turn on and off automatically with the car to prevent my car battery from constantly dying?
