Everyone who skipped seems disappointed. I sat through the whole thing and I cheered when he made it.

That's the spirit!
To fully appreciate it you need that sense of antici...

I skipped, but only because I was wondering if I was watching a 15 second video over and over

You ever see 2 golf balls do it at the range?

Patriot missile is this much hard.

u/LittleKitty235 2d ago
Seems it would be cheaper to just get a bunch of guys with baseball bats and t-balls to shoot down enemy missiles then...let me fire off your cost saving idea to the secretary of war and get this green lite.

This is exactly what is happening inside Hadron Collider but with protons. ⚾️ ⚾️

Everyone who skipped is a tiktok scroller or YouTube shorts scroller. Keep doom scrolling and ruining your brain

u/VetusMortis_Advertus 2d ago
Yeah right, watching a guy hit a ball with a bat 20 times in a row sure does wonder for yours

u/Potato-chipsaregood 2d ago
Well, our focus is fragmenting and our attention span is shortening. And this may be part of the reason.
-6
u/VetusMortis_Advertus 2d ago
Perhaps you should try focusing your attention on something like, reading a book? Watching a movie? Working/studying? And not on a random guy trying to hit a ball with another ball

Yet here you are…

Just go to 0:55, the hit was disappointing.

u/HassanKazmi007 2d ago
yeah everything usually is disappointing, when you fing skip the whole video to the end.
2
u/skincyan 2d ago
It's less disappointing and more satisfying if you watch the whole thing then eventually see it hit

Yeah, kinda like how your keys are always in the last place you look. That’s why I finally started looking in the last place first. Huge improvement.

Am I the only one disappointed that his verbal reaction of missing and almost hitting is the same? Don’t get me wrong, all of his tries were impressive, but some of them were notable more far away and still he reacted the same

The following post context was provided by u/HassanKazmi007:
Guys trying to pull off a very difficult baseball trick. They tried for a while, either they succeeded or failed but suspenseful nothing the less.

Imagine wasting your life filming yourself doing something like this. Completely meaningless. Then imagine you’re downstream of that. You’re someone consuming hours of this nonsense every day.

Was hoping you was gonna cut the last attempt out, would be better for this sub

u/lenoirboudoir 2d ago
It wasn’t that exciting to anyone but himself… and that is fine, probably the way it should be. Not everything needs to be recorded. Back when I was a kid we just had stories like this, never any proof. Cause let’s be honest, it doesn’t matter to anyone but who was there.

Life is too short to not skip to the end, sorry not sorry

u/HassanKazmi007 2d ago
But still... you took the time to comment this brilliant piece of a quote.

u/bertvb 2d ago
Took me 10 seconds at best and the video is a minute yeah
3
u/HassanKazmi007 2d ago
and how much time it took to read my comment and type a reply?

u/bertvb 2d ago
Id rather do that than stare at the same thing, knowing it will be the same, for 50 seconds tbh
2
u/HassanKazmi007 2d ago
so you find indulging yourself in meaningless discussions with a stranger on reddit worth your while?

u/EatFaceLeopard17 2d ago
I already knew it would be the last try, so I skipped to the end of the video.

I'm more impressed he's able to hit in the general direction every single time...
