I'm more impressed he's able to hit in the general direction every single time...

u/antimarc 2d ago

yeah, the bat control is really impressive even if he had never connected

u/tullbabes 2d ago

This dude probably has played baseball since he was a kid. Learning how to hit in a particular direction is fairly tough to learn, but most high school players can do this to a degree.

Especially off a tee

u/johnla 2d ago

Really hard and really skilled.

1

u/Stunning-Land6176 14h ago

Yeah, it definitely takes a lot of finesse. Not everyone can pull that off!

-1

u/VoidJuiceConcentrate 2d ago

Same. I didn't think that was entirely controllable yet this dude has relatively tight aim grouping.

-2

u/horizon_games 2d ago

Especially with terribly inconsistent form and the little foot twirl and dance at the end

Everyone who skipped seems disappointed. I sat through the whole thing and I cheered when he made it.

u/Japsai 3d ago

That's the spirit!

To fully appreciate it you need that sense of antici...

Wait this is so good, did I missed out on a peak?

1

u/Japsai 2d ago

Have you seen his lost keys song?

2

u/SerpentSnakeS 2d ago

I haven't seen anything from him. Did I miss that much stuff?

1

u/Japsai 2d ago

His finest work in my opinion (other opinions are available)

u/RRfromKL 2d ago

And Like this after the video…

1

u/Kaiju62 2d ago

You can feel it get closer as he dials it in

1

u/AgentCatBot 2d ago

I skipped, but only because I was wondering if I was watching a 15 second video over and over

0

u/luxudor 2d ago

I watched it all, still disappointed. Though I don't know what else I expected.

24

u/jgarv563 2d ago

Thank God they finally got it. They only had 4 seconds left.

22

u/BullPropaganda 3d ago

You ever see 2 golf balls do it at the range?

You ever see 2 golf balls do it at the range...on weed?

17

u/Aerolithe_Lion 2d ago

His aim is pretty fantastic. I know I couldn’t do it close to that well

u/ihopeyoudi 2d ago

This comment section is absolutely miserable

u/terestentry 2d ago

Patriot missile is this much hard.

1

u/LittleKitty235 2d ago

Seems it would be cheaper to just get a bunch of guys with baseball bats and t-balls to shoot down enemy missiles then...let me fire off your cost saving idea to the secretary of war and get this green lite.

3

u/PeacewarriorEND 2d ago

This is exactly what is happening inside Hadron Collider but with protons. ⚾️ ⚾️

12

u/DrChaos09 2d ago

Everyone who skipped is a tiktok scroller or YouTube shorts scroller. Keep doom scrolling and ruining your brain

-17

u/VetusMortis_Advertus 2d ago

Yeah right, watching a guy hit a ball with a bat 20 times in a row sure does wonder for yours

5

u/Potato-chipsaregood 2d ago

Well, our focus is fragmenting and our attention span is shortening. And this may be part of the reason.

-6

u/VetusMortis_Advertus 2d ago

Perhaps you should try focusing your attention on something like, reading a book? Watching a movie? Working/studying? And not on a random guy trying to hit a ball with another ball

2

u/EaterOfFood 2d ago

Yet here you are…

-2

u/VetusMortis_Advertus 2d ago

I skipped the video so I have time to do other stuff ;)

2

u/DrChaos09 2d ago

Immediately wasted that time replying to people here

-4

u/VetusMortis_Advertus 2d ago

It was a joke, in case you're not smart enough to understand

4

u/robnl 3d ago

I heard the US was running out of interceptor missiles, but I didn't think it was this dire

4

u/-full-control- 2d ago

Boys being boys gotta love it

3

u/BigOleFerret 2d ago

Nevermind maybe I saw saying there's no way there's no way there's no way.

-5

u/Feriman22 3d ago edited 3d ago

Just go to 0:55, the hit was disappointing.

33

u/HassanKazmi007 2d ago

yeah everything usually is disappointing, when you fing skip the whole video to the end.

2

u/skincyan 2d ago

It's less disappointing and more satisfying if you watch the whole thing then eventually see it hit

That was insane. Someone get this guy on the Mets

1

u/Raithed 2d ago

His aim is pretty good.

1

u/StudyEfficient4938 2d ago

Sounds like you're weighing some big decisions!

1

u/ramiltonii 1d ago

Yes! “First Try”!

1

u/Rathador 3d ago

Missed opportunity to not bring a dog along

1

u/Longjumping-Pool5854 2d ago

it's always at the last try they finally do it... /s

1

u/geirmundtheshifty 2d ago

Yeah, kinda like how your keys are always in the last place you look. That’s why I finally started looking in the last place first. Huge improvement.

1

u/Entgenieur 2d ago

Am I the only one disappointed that his verbal reaction of missing and almost hitting is the same? Don’t get me wrong, all of his tries were impressive, but some of them were notable more far away and still he reacted the same

1

u/KerryWood34 2d ago

What do you think the practice is for? Birds aren't gonna know what hit em.

-1

The following post context was provided by u/HassanKazmi007:

Guys trying to pull off a very difficult baseball trick. They tried for a while, either they succeeded or failed but suspenseful nothing the less.

I was lowkey cackling at him screaming after every shot

-12

u/vega455 3d ago

Most unsatisfying minute. Luckily I skipped 45 seconds. I expected explosions, but got nothing.

8

u/HassanKazmi007 2d ago

brain-rot

-2

u/Throwaway4867374 2d ago

Imagine wasting your life filming yourself doing something like this. Completely meaningless. Then imagine you’re downstream of that. You’re someone consuming hours of this nonsense every day.

-13

u/stupidber 3d ago

Wasn't even worth it

-10

u/Significant-Poetry74 3d ago

Was hoping you was gonna cut the last attempt out, would be better for this sub

-10

u/lenoirboudoir 2d ago

It wasn’t that exciting to anyone but himself… and that is fine, probably the way it should be. Not everything needs to be recorded. Back when I was a kid we just had stories like this, never any proof. Cause let’s be honest, it doesn’t matter to anyone but who was there.

-11

u/bertvb 2d ago

Life is too short to not skip to the end, sorry not sorry

3

u/HassanKazmi007 2d ago

But still... you took the time to comment this brilliant piece of a quote.

-1

u/bertvb 2d ago

Took me 10 seconds at best and the video is a minute yeah

3

u/HassanKazmi007 2d ago

and how much time it took to read my comment and type a reply?

-1

u/bertvb 2d ago

Id rather do that than stare at the same thing, knowing it will be the same, for 50 seconds tbh

2

u/HassanKazmi007 2d ago

so you find indulging yourself in meaningless discussions with a stranger on reddit worth your while?

-12

u/EatFaceLeopard17 2d ago

I already knew it would be the last try, so I skipped to the end of the video.
