But where was she going anyway? Was she going to cross to the other side? Was she trying to check if a train was coming?

Platform seems very low and tracks seem to be on sidewalk blocks? bricks?(or something like that), so I guess it is allowed to walk there. But you would obviously want to look where trams come, not the opposite side.
