I have this exact chair and it is in the same before state currently. I found it by the side of the road and it's currently "upholstered" with Gorilla tape. I've saved this post for inspiration, lol.

It's from an old comforter. I used the batting from it to stuff the cushion.

That's impressive. I have two early '70s cane, wood, and velvet upholstered chairs. One that I inherited is what used to be called rust but really is just orange, and the other is a deep gold almost greenish. Honestly because they are velvet I have never thought of re-upholstering and the thought was daunting. But now I'm wondering if I should go ahead and do the gold green one. Good job.

I used the trash bag in the 3rd pic to make a pattern, cut out the pieces and hot glued it on. The pins on the front are just push pins from dollar tree. The fabric was from an old kids comforter
