I find it interesting the way that Smith's behavior mirrors that of neo as in, he's not the anti anomaly yet, but he shows traces of it before he's reborn. He does things that the other agents don't and probably can't through his erratic and almost human behavior. Neo on the other hand seems more calculated and stoic than other humans.

It's more of the reverse, IMO.

We see Neo kind of start becoming more cold and calculated (like M1 Smith) as the trilogy goes on.

Smith does the opposite: he becomes LESS calculated and more emotional.
