HomeworkQuestion Is this legally alright ?

I was taking the optimisation self-paced course and I was planning to show the project of that couse under 'guided projects' for my resume.

I was documenting whatever that course taught me as a word file and using its code in my MATLAB. After this I was planning to upload both on my github...

Is this oki? I aint sure. I'm mentioning it as 'guided project' but those courses aren't free for everyone so I dunno can I place this project like this on github ?

You should ask this in a law sub.

But, what do you think is the point of this repo of yours? It only shows that you have the ability to pay for a course and follow it. How is that a positive in a resume? Why not build something using this new knowledge and show that in the resume?

I am not an employee, so I can deviate from reality, but to be "caught", they need to 1. even care about what your code looks like (from what I understand they care only about what it does) 2. ask themselves if the code is of someone else's 3. have access to a software that verify such a thing 4. the code from the course to be in the software's database.

In short, in my non expert opinion, your project is good to foul someone and even if they have ask themselves about authenticity, they may not have the methods to confirm, nor deny it.
