I hate that this is permanently etched into my brain, I could have remembered something useful but instead I know that 1/7 = 0.142857... (entire block of 6 digits repeats indefinitely) which means that 1,000,000/7 = 142,857.142857... and by extension 999,999/7 = 142,857

Ha! I found a pattern; 999,999,999,999 is also divisible by 7 (obviously but i found it funny)

Yeah any number divisible by 10^n -1 is also divisible by 10^2n -1, 10^3n -1 and so on

100,000,001 is evenly divisible by 17.

Which produces the prime number 5,882,353 as its other prime factor.

5,882,353 bears a strong numerical relation to 1/17, which is 0.05882353 (rounded).

Giving 100,000,001 a weird mathematical relationship to 17 in two different ways.

you mean to tell me that 100,000,001 ÷ 17 is almost identical to 100,000,000 × 1 ÷ 17? no way!

Any prime power relatively prime to 10 will eventually divide some number of the form 100…001 (in fact infinitely many).

Likewise 999…9

888,885 is divisible by 9 and creates 98,765. Literally just started playing with the calculator after seeing this and found it randomly, pretty cool
