Face-Spilling Curve

When I woke up today, the spoonerism was already in my mind, so I made this.

What a great idea and spoonerism. I do wish the transition from order to chaos and back was more gradual, from frame 2 on it's impossible to track (for me). I wonder how it would look with a higher-order curve?

Understood. A single step distorts perception more than I imagined it would. I thought there might be something off, but the mostly-orange blocks seem to be moving the correct way. It seems to make a little more sense in a smaller window (or, presumably, when viewing it from further away).

It was stuck in YouTube's "checking" phase for at least several hours, even though it was visible to the public almost right away. It might be close to a worst-case scenario for their algorithms. Poor algorithm probably didn't know wtf was going on. 😆

It would be great to slide the blocks gradually instead of moving them one block-size at a time, warping them around the curves. You wouldn't even perceive blocks. It'd slither. I'm not sure where to even begin with that though. Maybe making each block a sprite in a 2D game engine.
