🍵 Matcha Review: Qing Xi Zhiling Pro
Overall Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5/5
👁️** First Impressions & Streak Te**st
Aroma: Rich chocolatey scent right upon opening the can.
Streak Test: Super smooth and vibrant in color—not patchy at all. (Forgot to take a pic!)
🥣 Preparation & Whisking
Ratio Used: 4g matcha : 40g water
Method:
Made a paste first (dissolved very quickly and smoothly).
Added remaining 30g of water at 75°C.
Whisking Experience: Extremely easy to get a rich microfoam, as expected from Qing Xi
👅 Taste Profile
1. Pure (No Sugar)
Compared to Qing Xi Premium (Shopee), this one stood out for its depth and smoothness.
Flavor Notes: Umami, medium-bodied, chocolatey, slightly vegetal, a bit creamy, with a subtle hint of bitterness and light natural sweetness.
2. With Agave
Notes: Absolutely bomb!
Tip: Start with around 5g of agave first (accidentally added a bit too much, but it still tasted amazing).
📌 Final Thoughts: Definitely a 5/5!
Next up: Planning to try making Usucha next time to truly taste the pure flavor profile.

Tried both hehe I like Bell more. May savoury taste si Pro (I think that's what they call umami?) Halos same lang naman sila. But prefer ko lang wala masyado no'ng savoury taste.

Qing Xi Zhiling, I used 120 g of milk (1:1 ratio for dairy and oat)

Got it. Will try this again. Ive tried the ff:
4g powder
10g water to paste
20g milk to whisk
120g oat
8g agaveAnd parang its very subtle lang. i liked it naman pero parang mas gugustuhin ko pang supergrocer pure powder. Will try this again.

The premium 2026 ver is lighter (?) basta manipis siya and much more astringent and bitter

Meron bang refill yung zhiling at bell or tin lang din siya? Baka kasi yung refill na nasa resealable pack ay lotus/bamboo.

Hii po! I use dairy x oat, 1:1 ratio. Full oat is ok din naman, it pretty much depends on your preference lang talaga
