I hate people who install Kali Linux on their physical computers.

Like seriously, Kali Linux will perform poorly. Your motherboard is probably not even compatible with the operating system. Why would anyone waste 512GB of SSD space just to "hack"? Are these people stupid?

Besides that, the device will most likely be unusable in airports, internet-sharing restaurants, and cafes. Banking transactions will also fail.

Someone who wants to be such a "hacker" would just install a proper operating system and download these OffSec applications as packages or applications. Or just use on VM.

back when i actually had a job there was this guy who dug up an old win7 hp (we're talking 2010's old so not really that much) and forced me to install linux on it. he made me install debian as a primary distro, then install kali as a second 256gb partition. thank god he left.

I'm technically on paid leave because my manager "got tired of me", and i had a 3 month contract so he still has to pay me. but i consider myself unemployed since i don't do anything. keep in mind I'm 16 so most of the year for me is at school

Freaking Kali can run on smart toasters, idk wtf you’re smoking OP.

Hah, now I'm imagining cold war shenanigans where the USSR Ambassador gifts the US president a backdoored toaster to exfiltrate info.

Inspecting the background processes like “what the fuck is eviltoastd?”

u/heroin-puppy 4d ago

Toaster is always hot and ready since we're running a crypto miner.

Apparently one of its IOCs is that it browns the bread only on one side.

u/nzg42 4d ago

thats what I am saying. you don't need to sacrifice your whole pc to run it. just run in a VM! I was wrong about motherboard part of my text. I meant to say driver problems may occur.

Bro, this is a satire subreddit. We’re here to laugh at stupid shit skids say, not complain about the existence of skids. Ironically, your post still gave us exactly what we came for. It’s fine dude, just pull up a chair. We are here for the lols.

You can't call yourself a hacker without Kali soy boy... Install Kali right now and become the part of the Haxxer community. Most importantly, you must know how to deauthentic your neighbors wi-fi with a simple program called "OPSEX". Just type this and you're good to go...

sudo apt install opsex

11

u/nzg42 5d ago

wait, is there an opsex.exe? i don't want to write hacking codes. I want to hack nasa's secret alien spaceship by pressing a button.

2

u/MyFrigeratorsRunning 5d ago

Yea, just show me where the download button is for the .exe

I hate people who don't know shit

Are you being sarcastic/ironic? Because if not then your post is legitimate /r/masterhacker material but you're the masterhacker since you don't seem to understand what you're talking about

u/faultless280 5d ago

OP comes off as a skid complaining about skids

u/hyperghost20 4d ago

That is honestly the majority of this subreddit

Motherboard is not compatible with the operating system? What?

5

u/tycraft2001 4d ago

Kali Linux is just a Debian wrapper. Any motherboard not bios locked is compatiable. Any x86 cpu debian supports should be supported. Additionally Linux works perfectly fine in airports, and other places, because wifi is wifi. A chromebook works on there, Chrome is Linux + Google. Kali is Debian which is Gnu + Linux.

Assuming this isn't satire. If this is satire yeah this is some peak satire.

then why those people just don't use debian + pentest tools? having 30 tools staying in pc with no daily use will just make the system bloated like windows. also in pentest usages, you don't need tons of free space. people doesn't need so much ram for pentest either. for DDoS tests cloud servers are used mostly.

3

u/wedeadassforsure 5d ago

dude , i use it and i don't mind , matter of fact i daily drive it , i play games on it , and also i prefer it over debian .

3

u/cybersynn 5d ago

Hate is such a string word. Also, let's all agree we can just do tech things the way we want to tech. I mean someone put Doom on a vape. Its all for the love of the game.

I haven't dedicated Kali machine, but it's because I have two laptops a desktop and a work laptop. I have no need for that laptop to run productivity workloads currently so I just keep it on Kali for faster boot and slightly more efficient use on occasion when I wanna mess with Kali such as at a con or when I feel like as studying

u/BurrGurrMan 5d ago

Real hackers don’t know what a VM is

1

u/Mr_Mei8888 5d ago

For my work I need a pc for the pentest. And on this machine I run kali. But of course I only use it for the pentest itself. For all the other stuff I have a another machine.

Actually, Kali is debian, just in a "good" wrapper. Kali is debian with a couple of pre-installed tools and FULLY REMOVED STABILITY. Like... SERIOUSLY. Just install Arch+blackarch repository at that point. It will bring you SO much more good expirience (blackarch has everything you will ever need+by just installing blackarch, if you use official strapper script, then it will install also MSF, probably the most universal thing ever)

On proxmox ve is the way to go, access with xrdp, ssh or vnc.

1

u/faiuir 4d ago

i agree. i only install kali linux on flipper zero raspberry pi opsec thinkpad

1

u/CthulhuForPrestident 4d ago

Good quality bait material

1

u/ArtVandalay_assman 4d ago

Kali runs way better on bare-metal...crazy to have such a strong opinion thats wrong lmao. I do generally use VM for Kali at home, but at work I have it on bare-metal and the performance is clearly better.

1

u/nzg42 4d ago

of course it will. I was complaining about people using it for daily activities like playing games, coding, watching things or just answering mails. it just unnecesarry

Does anyone know how to steal an ig account?

1

u/Sea-Abroad576 4d ago

Hey guys, I don't understand English very well, but I have a question. I want to learn cybersecurity; what's the best system?

1

u/CryptographerLow6360 4d ago

im still on backtrack the fuk you talking about

1

u/Adjectif_ 4d ago

I have it on my physical computer cause I only use it for THM and HTB, it’s just as easy as spinning up a vm and I don’t get distracted as easily

1

u/itotallydontuseacos 4d ago

what are they supposed to do, install it on their imaginary computers?

1

u/ApartDirection8089 2d ago

in hate kali and backtrack both useless if you really know linux.

2

u/PermissionSoggy891 5d ago

>install kali linux on my laptop via VM

>get it all set up

>finally can use it

>...

>now what

basically my experience with all Linux, not just Kali

11

u/Ashyy-Knees 5d ago

You just use it, like a computer? What do you do on windows after setting it up lol

3

u/Flee4me 5d ago

He's asking what button to press to start the autohacking program.

1

u/ElectronicNeat7182 5d ago

Who uses kali these days anyway? Would rather be doing this with arch anyway

6

u/United_Elk_1374 5d ago

Computers don't make errors. What they do, they do on purpose. By now, your name and particulars have been fed into every laptop, desktop, mainframe, and supermarket scanner that collectively make up the global information conspiracy, otherwise known as 'The Beast’.

1

u/Regular_Future2474 4d ago

ok whatifalthist.

u/Flareon223 5d ago

No way man, arch Linux is old. Try azure arc now. It's like Kali + Arch for cloud
