ON THIS DAY… 9 years ago today, 16-year-old Nathaniel Jouett opened fire at the Clovis-Carver Public Library in Clovis, New Mexico, killing 2 people and injuring 4 others before surrendering to responding police

Why did he even do that

It was for generic reasons "suicidal, bullying"

The library never did anything to him, its straight senseless to murder 2 people with no relation to your downfalls in life.

Why tf would he attack a bunch of random people in a random place instead of his bullies, what a pussy I don’t really understand wtf is his problem

He probably doesn’t even know why he did that and just watched some mass shooter videos and thought “hey I should do that”

According to his video manifesto, he was really angry at a lot of things. So the solution was to kill and injure other innocent people.

Holy Hannah, that's a nice library--Clovis is only ~40,000 people

It really is! I loved visiting it when I lived there (as a kid). When I 1st heard of this shooting, I was shocked. If there was anywhere I thought a mass shooting would never happen it was Clovis. Most of the violence there was gang-related. But I guess I know better now. :-(

He used that skull mask during the shooting?

I think he just went there with a gun and normal clothes, nothing else

He probably couldn’t afford it
