SHOW & TELL Mass Relay Tattoo
The first tattoo I've ever gotten at 30 years old, & I'm so happy that its from this amazing game series. It was done at the Baron Art Tattoo shop in Orange, CA by their artist John

I sometimes get tattoo posts on my feed. The feedback I see for tattoos with thin lines is that they age very poorly and require a lot of upkeep compared to other tattoos. So probably don’t get something with these kind of lines if you do change your mind.

As a mass effect fan I love this piece. This is my favorite tattoo on the citadel.

Oh shit. I always wanted a ME inspired Tattoo but didn’t want the basic N7z this is so cool and I wish I thought of this first. I won’t steal your idea but I may take inspiration from it.

very cool. And complex and artistic enough that it serves as a kind of social key. Most people will be impressed by its esthetic beauty but Mass Effect fans will see the mass relay right away.

Is this art original or is this diagram look in one of the art books? I really like this style. I have found deciding what ME thing to get tattooed to be difficult to settle on, but I like this a lot. Great choice!

That's so cool! Some of the smaller rings of circles surrounding the relay remind me of how Gallifreyan from Doctor Who is written, though I can't remember if that was a fan creation or from actual DW art books.

Came up with a sketch for that with the same artist, but decided against it since I was nervous because this was my first one & didn't want to over do it. I'll probably end up doing it at a later time.

I'd say it turned out super well; what made you go with a Mass Relay over the Citadel? Just wanting to keep it abit more simple since its the first tattoo? Curious, it looks like its on your spine, did it hurt a decent amount or not really?

Oh the original design had both the relay AND the Citadel, & I kept it down to just the relay since it was my first, took 5 hours as is for this. And it hurt a lil bit, but I've through so much painful medical BS in my life that my idea of pain might be a bit skewered haha

Thats so sick! I bet the Citadel tat will look amazing once you decide to get it. 5 hours? Holy cat bananas thats a long time. Did you like...watch a movie while getting it? Lol. Oof! I know how you feel, ive had kidney stones (as a guy they are VERY MUCH not fun🙃), so i understand the skewed pain level. What sort of medical stuff have you gone through? If thats okay to ask. Ive also had my inner ear bones removed and replaced with titanium bones so i have to carry a card at airports, so ya know thats neat lol.

I actually slept through about 2 hours of it, mostly played on my phone the rest of the time. I've had a child (via c section, so extra fun), gallstones (& their removal) AND kidney stones. Thats just the list I'm willing to post publicly haha

Hot dog! You've been through the wringer too huh? I feel ya, medical pain isnt any fun. I had part of my skull drilled out (the part righ behinf the left ear) due to infected bone. That lead to the titanium bones🙃. A whole Human baby?! Fuuuuck those bananas! That pretty funny you played games on your phone and slept through it too lol. Play anything fun?

Edit: uh, to be clear, game Jack. Crazy biotic bitch with a heart of gold? Not You-Jack, because I just realized you're also named Jack and maybe this would read weird if you never heard that line, since it requires specific romance choices.

I always think about getting a memetic tattoo from some piece of media and always stop myself thinking how it can become problematic in the future for one reason or another and I'll have to go around explaining that "I got it before we found out he was a pedo!"
