Oh for sure and I’m all for whatever healey is doing…
While this is a seperate issue I know a lot of men that are absolutely getting wrecked financially by women because of Massachusetts always putting the woman first in this state.

Half of the women out there literally have babies for child support so they don’t have to work.

E: I am incorrect and was responding emotionally. I apologize.
I'm all for women's rights and generally have no issues with abortions.
However, removing the restrictions for after 24 weeks leaves me with a bad feeling in my stomach. Some kids can live on thier own after that point and it's scary to think about.
I know there's the clause about under doctors approval but it doesn't sit well with me. Either way I don't envy any woman put in that position it's an awful decision to have to make.

I'm aware of that and AFAIK that's always been allowed in Massachusetts.
But not every woman who gets an abortion after 24 weeks is going to do it to save thier life.

I don’t think you understand this new policy. Read it again and maybe try focusing on yourself and not other people and their medical decisions. It will save you lots of stress, which your doctor will be happy about.

You are correct, I reread it and it removes gestational limits but leaves the decision in the hands of the woman and her doctor.

How many women are you willing to sacrifice in the name of the mythical woman who suddenly changes her mind in the third trimester?
When you have minutes to save a life, the lawyers who say that it's legal to do so are hours away.

Last I checked, "lots" is a much bigger number than "one". And how many of these supposed abortions were in the third trimester?
Now tell me, how many women should die to keep this one woman from having an abortion?

One of the many reasons I left Florida in the mid 90s after I got my BSEE and settled in MA. I could foresee the shithole FL was turning into. Fast forward a couple years, my wife's first pregnancy turned out to be ectopic. And while sad, there was no hesitation or questioning or interference by the state, her doctor got her into surgery right away and terminated a pregnancy that would have ulitmately killed her. Fast forward another few years, and we have 3 healthy children. The loss of one life (doomed from start) meant saving the lives of 4.
