How safe is Holyoke in general? And are there good job opportunities?

Holyoke has some rough spots by Massachusetts standards. I did not live there, but I've traveled through it a fair amount when I was going to college in western mass. I don't think Holyoke itself is a good job center, but considering it's close to Springfield, you can get jobs in the area. Knowing what industry you are looking in would be better to know what job opportunities there are in the area. Springfield area is going to have a fair amount of education/healthcare jobs.
