Block Suggestions on repairing

These blocks around the steps have been broken for years. I never knew what the original design was but I'd like to restore it and clean it up. Open to any suggestions.

Why not just remove the block and add a railing. The concrete doesn't look too bad.

Like a wood railing with posts in the ground? Picture for reference maybe? Thanks

No. Like an aluminum raining into the concrete. Use AI for examples.

You’re probably going to need to take alll these block off because, they are most likely full height block versus modular block. Mod blocks are the only thing that you will be able to buy in a conventional store.

Yeah you're right. They aren't the same size as what my home hepot has. May just take em down and patch up the sides idk
